Leadership

As a strategic initiative between Michigan Medicine (MM) and the U-M College of Engineering (CoE), e-HAIL uses a joint leadership model with co-lead faculty conveners from MM and the CoE working together with the e-HAIL manager.

We draw upon the insights from advisory conveners representing Schools and Colleges across campus.

Members

e-HAIL is a vibrant and diverse community of clinicians and methodologists who are interested in using AI/ML methodologies to do high-impact research on critical healthcare applications.

e-HAIL members participate in twice-monthly research-in-progress meetings, where presenting teams discuss their work, seek feedback from colleagues, and meet potential collaborators in a highly interactive environment.

Team

The e-HAIL team provides support at all stages of the research development process for multi-PI, interdisciplinary teams preparing grant applications at the intersection of AI and health.

We help connect researchers to potential new collaborators, identify grant opportunities for research ideas, and provide grant writing, project management, and programming/software development support.
